Not all heroes are big and strong: A pit bull/chihuahua mix named “Lady” had to be put down due to the severity of her injuries, when she was attacked by a mountain lion as she attempted to protect “her” kids. The dog has been hailed as a “hero” for defending the children in her family after a six-foot-long mountain lion stalked the youngsters at a home in Colorado. The incident occurred on June 14 at the home of the Havens family near Idaho Springs, a mountain community located west of Denver. The dog had actually spotted a mountain lion, estimated to measure around six feet length, which had been stalking the children as they were playing. Despite her much smaller size, Lady rushed to defend the children by trying to scare off the mountain lion. Lady suffered significant injuries and had to be let go. I know that in the Hall of Heroes there will always be room for “Lady” and her bothers and sisters.
IMHO: “Comedian” Samantha Bee called on viewers to “raise hell” and confront Justice Samuel Alito in public “for the rest of his life.” “I can’t describe how painful it is to be here now, in a place where the Supreme Court has the power to erase 50 years of constitutional law.” Sammy, baby, it was NOT constitutional law, it was a judicial opinion. Oh, and you’re not funny either.
Say what: Uncle Joe’s Department of Justice is challenging a new Arizona law that, among other restrictions, requires residents to prove citizenship to vote in presidential elections. Arizona was one of several battleground states plagued by irregularities in the 2020 election. The current WH administration insists that election integrity violates the rights of voters. Stating “documentary proof of citizenship requirement for certain federal elections constitutes a textbook violation of the National Voter Registration Act.” Someone is going to have to explain this to me. Proving I’m a citizen violates a voter act? Huh??
Okay, one more time: A car is made for a specific purpose. Transportation. It is not the manufacturers’ fault if a person misuses the product. That’s why you can’t sue Ford when someone gets drunk, drives their car, and runs over your best friends second cousins third aunt. That’s why you can’t sue the brewer or distiller in the same scenario. Why should a firearm manufacturer be sued when someone misuses their product?
Killed by stupid: A 43-year-old man lit a firework on top of his head, resulting in his near-sudden death in San Antonio, police say. First responders found the victim was suffering from severe head trauma, with brain matter exposed from his skull, police said. It is reported the victim had been drinking when he chose to light the mortar-style firework from the top of his head. “He had been drinking.” I’m shocked I tell you, simply shocked. I wonder if they can list “Cause of Death” as “STUPID”.
