Wednesday Drifting Motes

So it continues: House Financial Services Committee chair Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) said Friday on MSNBC’s “Live” that she will continue her congressional investigations into former President Donald Trump’s finances.  This from a “career politician” who hasn’t held a real job since 1973 (assistant teacher), with a minimal education (Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology), and has a personal net worth somewhere north of $6 million. And she doesn’t even live in the area she “represents”.

Remember Ashli Babbitt. Remember her name.

Cha-ching: Maybe it’s only me, but I seem to see a lot more parking tickets being issued by the C&C of Honolulu the past few months. Maybe the city has found another “revenue” source.

Headline: “Now is exactly the wrong time to spend $30 Million fixing Capital Pools”. Our state capital is surrounded by “reflection pools” that are, again, leaking into the underground parking areas, and lower offices. Hawaii is facing a $1.4 Billion short fall over the next 2 years. Hawaii already pays 3.50-4.50 dollars a gallon for gas. Our tourist-based economy is, frankly, in the toilet. There isn’t any. There is no agriculture or manufacturing in the state. The unemployment rate is at 15.1%. Crime is up all over the island. Since the capital is now surrounded by walls and fences, you couldn’t “reflect” anyway. Now IS the time to fill, cover, and plant.

Them and Us: Hours after mandating all peasants wear face masks on federal property, the hypocrite Biden family visited the Lincoln Memorial without face masks on. When asked why Joe Biden violated his own mask mandate, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said Biden was “celebrating.” “We have bigger issues to worry about at this moment in time,” Psaki said brushing off Fox News reporter Peter Doocy. Can you imagine what Acosta would have done with that answer?

I had a lot of stuff to do at the house last weekend. Now I have a lot of stuff to do next weekend.

Oh gods I was young. This was me, Oct, 1966, in a land long ago, far far away.
