Souvenir: A pensioner in Germany has been convicted of illegal weapons possession after he was found to own an extensive personal arsenal including a tank. The defendant, 84, has been handed a suspended prison sentence of 14 months and has been ordered to pay a fine of €250,000. The defendant, who cannot be named under German privacy laws, must sell or donate the tank and an anti-aircraft cannon to a museum or collector within the next two years. It took about 20 soldiers almost nine hours to extract the Panther tank – which was without its tracks – from the property. Hey, it was for personal defense.
Murder hornets, Asian Tiger mosquitos, and now the Tahoe Plague Chipmunks.: Officials are closing some areas on the south shore of Lake Tahoe after some chipmunks tested positive for plague. The Taylor Creek Visitor Center, Kiva Beach and their parking areas will be off limits through Friday. Plague is an infectious bacterial disease that tends to be spread by chipmunks, other wild rodents and their fleas. According to the El Dorado County Public Health, plague is naturally present in some areas of California.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Tuesday that the city will be mandating proof of COVID-19 vaccination for various indoor businesses including restaurants, entertainment venues, and gyms. “Today I announce a new approach, which we’re now calling the ‘Key To NYC Pass,’” announced the NYC Mayor. Can the armbands be far off?
Oh hell no: Rep. Ilhan Omar, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, and a bunch of other leftists would like to turn July into Muslim American Heritage Month. “It is important we recognize the resiliency and accomplishments of Muslim Americans with a formal resolution,”. Muslims played little role in America until the 1970s with the embrace of Islam by black nationalist opponents of the United States and the onset of violent terrorist attacks. I’m not clear on what Muslim accomplishment in America took place in July or any other month. I’m sure the 1619 Project will no doubt produce its alternative history which will reveal that Alexander Hamilton bowed to Mecca and Dolly Madison wore a burka. The only heritage month we truly need is the heritage of our freedom from all tyrannies.
