The Last Monday Motes (of this year.)

Guilty until you can afford to prove innocent: A North Carolina trucker has waged legal war against the entire police department of Phoenix,AZ – after officers seized $39,500 in cash from him at a local airport alleging it was drug money. Johnson, the owner and operator of his own business, alleges that seizure was unjust, saying he had saved the money to purchase a new semi-truck. Johnson flew domestically with the cash from Charlotte to the Arizona city – but was quickly jammed up by detectives who questioned him about the perfectly legal haul. The suit adds that during this supposedly routine stop, investigators became adamant that Johnson, a middle-aged black men, was in the process of laundering the money as part of an illegal drug trade. Okay, I only spent 1 years as a cop, I don’t have a law degree, but this is freakin’ wrong. Just like the private deposit boxes in La. Guilty until you can prove your innocence, if they let you.

With the cold snap, the iguanas are again falling out of the trees. Time for “Jim’s Iguana on a Stick” to re-open.

Only one question: A black American woman will get a statue at a spot that once hosted a monument to Confederate General Robert E Lee. Officials said a life-size bronze of Henrietta Lacks will be erected in her hometown of Roanoke, Virginia. Question, WHO? n 1951, Henrietta Lacks, a young black mother in Baltimore, Maryland, began experiencing pain in her abdomen and abnormal bleeding. She was examined by gynecologists at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and they discovered a large mass on her cervix.  Ms. Lacks’ cells proved to be a medical miracle. While nearly all cell cultures died quickly in the lab, these cells continued to multiply and didn’t age, making them “immortal”. Those cells, taken without consent 70 years ago and have helped save millions of lives. Okay, Okay, I can see a statue for her, but not at the cost of burying our “history” which is what they are trying to do.

What if we put a “None of the Above” on all voting ballets. They’d win.

We have to pass it to know what’s in it: Sen. Chris Coons (D-DE) stated that he is “proud to support” the omnibus bill, but acknowledged that due to the bill coming to the floor at the last minute, there wasn’t “enough time to fully scrub and understand what other members have put in it.” And “I don’t know exactly what every other member of the Senate has put in the bill.” Coons stated, “I voted for the omnibus and I’m proud to support it, but I don’t like the process.” Okay, you don’t like the process, then change it. Don’t vote FOR it. Start working to change the system. Stop being such a damn HYPOCRITE.

Headline : My wife vetoed my new girlfriend because she isn’t hot enough for me”. Sorry, I got nothing here.

Not what they say: The House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol released its final report on Thursday evening. The document, nearly 850 pages long, is the work of dozens of authors. The intent of the committee was not to discover anything about the Jan 6 “insurrection”. The entire reason was to find or make up something they could hang on Trump. That was the sole intent. Hang Trump. Real or otherwise.
