Give me a freakin’ break: Rep.-elect Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) made a surprise revelation to a progressive Jewish group on the final night of Hannukah on Sunday: She traces her ancestry back to 15th-century Sephardic Jews. Speaking at an event organized by Jews for Racial and Economic Justice at the Jackson Heights Jewish Center in Queens, the rising Democratic star drew cheers with the revelation, which she told Haaretz was the first time she had spoken publicly about her family’s Jewish heritage. The Sunday revelation was not the first time Ocasio-Cortez has discussed her religion. In the Jesuit publication America Magazine, Ocasio-Cortez wrote earlier this year that the ultimate goal of reforming the criminal justice system ties “directly to the heart of our” Catholic faith. How can anyone believe anything this “politician” says?
Please join me: Let’s all take a little moment of silence for Little League player Easton Oliverson of the Snow Canyon team out of Santa Clara, Utah. The Little League World Series player is in a medically induced coma following emergency surgery after he hit his head falling from a bunk bed in Williamsport, Pa. and suffered a skull fracture. Easton’s dad, a coach on the team, wants them to continue to play, according to multiple reports. Snow Canyon became the Mountain Region champions on Friday and are the first team from Utah to ever qualify for the Little League World Series in Williamsport. At last report, he was still critical.
Once again, don’t pet the fluffy cows: It started when two bison started fighting at Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming as people watched in awe. Two visitors eager to film the bison brawl on their devices got a little too close as others are heard on camera telling them to “back up” and “they will kill you”. It appears one of the bison perceived the observers as a threat and turned towards the crowd. Fortunately, this time, no one got hurt. They are not “pets”. They WILL kill you.
Further proof our culture is freaked: The 80-year-old Washington state woman who made headlines last week after she was permanently banned from her local YMCA pool — apparently for demanding that a transgender worker leave the women’s locker room — was heckled by trans activists at a rally on Monday. This woman stood up against a grown man showering and walking naked in the women’s locker room when there were tender-aged females present. For this she gets banned. At a recent speech, protesters begin jeering and chanting “Trans rights are human rights” to prevent her from speaking further. They don’t want “equality”, the want domination. Their rights are now more important than other’s. They don’t want freedom of speech, unless you agree with them. We’re so freaked..
Headline (actually numerous headlines) “It’s Inevitable, Trump Will Be Indicted”: It now appears inevitable that the Justice Department will bring criminal charges against the former president. FBI Director Christopher Wray’s stunt at Mar-a-Lago on August 8 is part of creating the optical illusion that Donald Trump is guilty of any number of crimes related to January 6 or the mishandling of secret government documents—or both. On Monday, the Justice Department subpoenaed another Trump White House lawyer as the legal momentum accelerates. I just remember something a prosecutor always reminded me, “You can indict a ham sandwich, it’s only the conviction that counts.”
Priorities: While demorats work hard spending your tax dollars to give shelter to hundreds of thousands of “immigrant” children, over two million AMERICAN children remain homeless.
Don’t cry for Liz: Liz Cheney earns $174,000 per year as a member of Congress. Cheney entered Congress in January of 2017. Cheney reportedly was worth $7 million in 2017. Since then, Cheney’s net worth has continued to grow–perhaps significantly. Liz Cheney today is worth an estimated $44 million.
Not funny haha: Uncle Joe signed the Inflation Reduction Act into law on Tuesday. Immediately everyone began commenting on how it would reduce inflation and was so full of pork, especially about “climate change”. So now a trio of Democratic groups — Climate Power, the League of Conservation Voters and Future Forward USA Action, a nonprofit backed by several major Democratic donors — is dropping $10 million on a national TV ad campaign to define the legislation in the minds of voters. I’m thinking my “truth in naming bills act” is looking better every day.
