Wednesday Motes, Just Think

Complete Movie of the week all in one headline: “Killer stepmom” is captured in Mexico after three years on the run: Murdered millionaire husband, his son, and daughter  after she was caught sleeping with stepson and co-worker”. I can see the whole thing now.

A sad Good-Bye: Taurean Blacque has died. He was 82. Blacque made guest appearances on many iconic TV shows such as “Sanford and Son,” “What’s Happening!!,” “Good Times,” “Taxi” and “The Bob Newhart Show.” He was best known for his role as “Detective Neal Washington” on the series “Hill Street Blues,” Blacque had two biological sons and adopted 11 children. He was also the spokesperson for the county of Los Angeles adoption service. “Hill Street” was one of the most awarded television programs of all time, but it’s seldom mentioned. His talent, and his work on behalf of children will be missed. Tonight, he sits at The Table of Heroes.

Just a reminder: 1-800-hitman! Is not a real contract “killer” employment center. Do not call looking for someone to wack your wife/husband/business partner.

Man of god: Gunmen burst into a church as its pastor was live-streaming a service in Brooklyn on Sunday, making off with more than $1 million worth of jewelry from him and his wife, according to the New York Police Department. The thieves targeted Bishop Lamor Whitehead, who heads the Leaders of Tomorrow International Churches and is known for flashy displays of wealth. Yes, I used the small g on purpose. Sorry, I can’t call anyone who wears that much bling a mad of god or a “bishop”.

( bish·op; ˈbiSHəp/noun 1. a senior member of the Christian clergy, usually in charge of a diocese and empowered to confer holy orders.)

Alternative weaponry: Here in Hawaii there is no open carry or ccw’s. No matter what the Supreme Court says, Hawaii does it their own way.  So it should be no surprise  that a man accused of using a sword to chop off a man’s hand at a Waikiki convenience store has been charged with attempted murder. A witness said there was an altercation between a 7-Eleven employee and another man inside the store. He said the incident escalated, ending with the employee allegedly cutting victim’s hand off. Police have not confirmed the suspect is a 7-Eleven employee. Aloha means hello, good-bye, and en’garde.

Yes, 8 hits from 10 shots at 40 yards, in 15 seconds, under fire, is damn good shooting. It ain’t Skeeter Skelton or Bill Jordan good, but for an untrained non-professional it is damn good.

Congratulations to Ashley and Joe on their engagement. The very very best to you.
