I’m right, so I quit: A prosecutor who resigned over the Manhattan district attorney’s decision to pause heading toward indicting ex-President Donald Trump said in a resignation letter that “he believes” Trump was “guilty of numerous felony violations.” Pomerantz said those felonies related to the “preparation and use of his annual Statements of Financial Condition,” which “were false.” Pomerantz also told Bragg that the DA’s decision not to seek charges against Trump, and to “indefinitely” suspend the 3-year-old probe was “contrary to the public interest.” So, he quit. I wonder if these are the same violations that Adam Schiff has “seen the evidence” on, like he did the “Russia Collusion” evidence. Oh wait, these people don’t care about truth or evidence anyway.
Big surprise here: Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers unexpectedly decided against reopening schools Wednesday to girls above the sixth grade, reneging on a promise and opting to appease their hard-line base at the expense of further alienating the international community. Girls shouldn’t need to go to school after that, after all, those 11-12 year-olds will be getting sold into marriage and don’t need anymore “education”.
Chip, chip, chiping away your rights: Washington State governor Inslee signed into law 3 more pieces of “common sense gun control” limiting the rights of firearms owners. These limit the magazine capacity, limit locations firearms may be carried legally, and put more limitations on so-called “ghost guns”.
Anything to knock the other guy: Director Mohamed Diab feels Western cinema has a way to go in its depictions of his native Egypt. He is attempting to rectify that with his work on Moon Knight, which uses ancient Egyptian mythology in its storylines. Diab specifically knocked Wonder Woman 1984 for playing into the tropes. Let me get this straight, a guy directing a “movie” about a comic book character and using Egyptian “mythology”, is criticizing a city’s portrayal in another movie about another comic book character supposedly in a time 38 years ago? Is that right? Man, I wish that was the biggest problem in my life.
Won’t commit to the law: Uncle Joe’s nominee to replace Justice Stephen Breyer on the Supreme Court, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, defended her use of the term “noncitizens” to describe border crossers and illegal aliens in her legal opinions. Jackson has made a note in her opinions to employ the term” noncitizen” or “undocumented non-citizen” rather than the terms “alien” or “illegal alien” that are regularly used in court and in federal statutes. She said,” I have long believed in that capacity that our clarity and language matters. We’re explaining the law to people and people read and understand what the law is, what the rule of law is in this country through the opinions of judges. So (words) they do matter, language.” Hey judge, here is the definition of the term you are avoiding; il·le·gal a·li·en noun “a foreign national who is living without official authorization in a country of which they are not a citizen.” The terms “noncitizen” or “undocumented non-citizens” are really just play words, so you don’t offend the ILLEGAL ALIENS. You know, the people that have violated our sovereignty and illegally crossed out national borders.
I love the irony of Alec “Fast Draw” Baldwin shilling his “podcast”, on the same stations that carry his biggest critic, Sean Hannity.
Just the way I am: Am I the only one feeling just a little put-out by Dr. Oz? Reason? Oz announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for the U.S. Senate seat in Pennsylvania in 2022. The other day I was listening to him define his platform to Hannity. He claims to be for the constitution, the Bill of Rights, the “American Way”, etc. BUT he still lists himself as a “Turkish-American”. I don’t want a anything “hyphen” American representing me. You are either an American or not. Period.
