Really bad : How bad must things get to reach the point where students are forced to protest about “a sexual assault allegation they say school administrators failed to address”. Read that again, a sexual assault allegation the school is failing to address. The protesters (students) attempted to enter the school and presumably confront its principal, Dr. Gerald Muhammad, in his office. The school called the police to defuse the situation. Far from diffusing the tension, police took aggressive action against the students, wrestling a young woman to the ground, tasing a young man, using pepper spray on another student and arresting four students. The actions that caused this, was that the female victim was NOT believed, and she was punished with in-school suspension. And nothing was done because let’s face it, it would be just too damn much administrative work to do it right. Oh wait, isn’t that what they are paid to do?
Big announcement: Stacy Abrams is going to run for governor of Georgia “again”. When did she stop running?
They all do it: A note to Ms. Maxine Waters, “literally” is the one most misused word in the English language. “Literally”. But I’ve said that before.
Depends on your definition of credibly: A reminder to New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who is claiming that Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh was credibly accused of sexual assault. “Reminder that Brett Kavanaugh ‘still’ remains credibly accused of sexual assault on multiple accounts w/ corroborated details & this year the FBI admitted it never fully investigated,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote. Hey Alex, just to remind you, using your own methods, another person “still” credibility accused of sexual assault, Uncle Joe.
Irony: Chicago has just passed a Park District budget that contains $600k dollars for a sexual abuse treatment center. The irony, the Park District supervisor has been arrested, now twice, for sexually assaulting teenage girls under his “supervision”. Bitter irony yes, but ironic just the same.
I want to see this one: “Wolf (2021)” Wolf is a Irish-Polish (?) drama film, written and directed by Nathalie Biancheri. It stars George MacKay, Lily-Rose Depp, Paddy Considine, Eileen Walsh, Fionn O’Shea and Lola Petticrew. It had its world premiere at the 2021 Toronto International Film Festival in September. Believing he’s a wolf trapped in a man’s body, Jacob eats, sleeps and lives like one — much to the shock of his family. When he’s sent to a clinic, Jacob and his animal-bound peers are forced to undergo increasingly extreme forms of curative therapies. However, once he meets the mysterious Wildcat, their friendship blossoms into an undeniable infatuation, and Jacob must decide whether to renounce his true self for love. The reviews are tremendous, especially about Lily-Rose Depp, yes the daughter of Johnny. Gotta see this one.
So that’s where saturday went. I knew I shouldn’t have open that damn thing.
