Not law enforcement: An FBI SWAT team raided the home of an activist mother of four in Colorado on Tuesday, Nov. 16, knocking down her door, bursting into the house with guns and handcuffing her while she was homeschooling her children. Sherronna Bishop of Grand Junction, Colorado, has felt the brute force of the FBI’s heavily armed SWAT unit used against her family. She was at home with her three children about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday when she heard someone pounding on the front door, then using a battering ram to break it down. She said the officers “manhandled” her 18-year-old daughter, pulling her up the stairs by her hoodie, while another officer put her in handcuffs and ushered her out of the house. They proceeded to search the entire house. Besides being a frequent attendee at her local school board meetings, Bishop has also been active in the voter integrity movement in her state and locality. The FBI has filed no charges against Bishop. They did leave behind documents related to the search warrant, saying they entered her home because she was suspected of causing “intentional damage to a protected computer, wire fraud and conspiracy to cause damage to a protected computer.” And these charges merit a SWAT raid? But not the guy in Milwaukee? The fbi is no longer anything other than the Demo Party Gestapo.
Yes, yes she is: Is Tulsi Gabbard the ultimate chameleon? When she was in office, she said some really left leaning crap. She missed important votes. She spouted the party line. When she ran for the dimocrate nomination, she barely even picked on Uncle Joe. In fact, I called her out in this blog as well as in a “Letter to the Editor” for these actions. Last week she was a guest on “Guttfield”, a “conservative” talk show that mixes a lot of humor with the daily news. She sounded reasonable, thoughtful, and sort of conservative. She even spoke out about the fbi and the above type incidents. But for some reason, it just didn’t ring true until I realized she was a chameleon. She was surrounded by conservatives, talking conservative stuff, so she needed to blend in. She did. I don’t buy it.
A language reminder: A “yoga studies” professor at Loyola Marymount University is requiring students to include their gender pronouns on coursework — or else their grade will take a hit. The “professor” who teaches courses such as “Hinduism, Jainism, and Yoga” and “Foundations of Yoga Studies” and was part of the “Surfing Yogis” at the 2013 India Surf Festival, sent out an email to his students back in September advising them of the new mandate. In an e-mail to his students he says, “we all need to take note of is that all are required to include their pronouns next to their name in their blog posts,” he wrote. “I will count this toward your grade when I check for your name each time I grade the blogs.” I just want to remind his students “azzhole”, and “dumbshet” are gender neutral.
They’re coming after your 1st A rights: National Institutes of Health Director Dr. Francis Collins stressed the dangers of incorrect claims regarding the COVID-19 vaccines and suggested tracking down spreaders of vaccine misinformation in an interview with NPR on Sunday. he thing that worries me most is the way in which misinformation and, frankly, disinformation has become so prominent in the face of a public health crisis,” Collins told NPR. “And it has been manipulated in some situations for political reasons in a fashion that is turning our culture wars into something really serious. When asked whether misinformation is “the deadliest disease,” Collins responded affirmatively, encouraging repercussions for those who intentionally spread false claims about the vaccines. “Repercussions” ? For misinformation? How about repercussions for robbery, arson, and assault. I kinda think those are a little more serious. His idea would target specific information sources, but there won’t be anything political about the enforcement. Will there.
