Turning the tables: The remains of a female grizzly bear were found at Yoho National Park. A hiker spotted the bear carcass on 4 September, just meters off the Burgess Pass trail. A necropsy determined that the female grizzly bear died of natural causes, caused by an unsuccessful attempt to kill a mountain goat. The hunting of mountain goats by grizzly bears is “relatively common. The forensic necropsy confirmed that the “wounds incurred before death were consistent with the size and shape of mountain goat horns.” A failure in the victim selection process.
Check your history first: Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) said Monday on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” that the United States contributed to the problems in Haiti. Therefore, she argued we “owe” Haitians the right to seek asylum as thousands gather at the U.S.-Mexico border. She says this without citing a single example or provable evidence. Sweetie, Haiti has been a crap hole for 80+ years, the U.S. having washed its hands of Haiti in 1934, and “we” don’t owe them a thing. NOT A THING.
Things can get worse: Last week I mentioned the overbearing government restrictions happening in New Zealand. Lockdowns, stay-at-home orders, and booze restrictions. But that couldn’t happen here. Could it? Yes! Just in case you think that things can’t get worse, here’s the story of why the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) will soon ration sales of popular brands of liquor. The PCLB notified license holders on Thursday that two-bottles-per-day purchase limits for customers at state stores, as well for bars, restaurants and other license holders, will remain in place indefinitely.
Working this Saturday. We were supposed to work last Saturday, but due to .gov requirements were not able to do so. Since the C-19 “Safe Access Oahu” plan requires me to “show my papers” to enter a bar, I’ll be sitting at my apartment, naked, watching tv, drinking beer, and eating Cheetos.
