Like Karma, sometimes justice takes time: DNA evidence connects Joseph Pollard — a man currently serving a life sentence for kidnapping, robbery and assault — to the stabbing death of a 15-year-old girl in her Miramar bedroom back in 2002, police announced Tuesday. Local News reported that an arrest was set to be rev Miramar police were able to get DNA evidence from the scene of the grisly crime, but they were unable to initially find a match. The case went cold. DNA technology has since advanced, and investigators say they got a match to Pollard, who cops say had a history of violence toward women.
This is where it’s going: Hong Kong’s elections to choose the city’s Election Committee members opened to a select group of voters on Sunday, under a new “patriots only” system imposed by China’s government. Beijing lawmakers passed a law in May to ensure only “patriotic” figures can run for positions of power. About 4,800, or 0.064% of Hong Kong’s 7.5 million population, were allowed to vote. (I wonder if they required ID.) Hong Kong Chief Executive said Sunday: “The Election Committee elections are very meaningful as it is the first elections held after we have improved the electoral system to ensure that only patriots can take office.” Can we be far behind? Only the vaxx’d? How about only registered Demo’s?
Criminal charges need to be filed, if true: A pair of brave whistleblowers who were formerly employed at an Aegis Living Facility in Issaquah, Washington, have come forward with shocking new allegations of elder abuse, rampant insurance fraud, and horrific medical malpractice. Cassandra Renner – a former Medical Technician at the senior living center – detailed an especially troubling incident where a resident that refused to take the experimental Covid Jab was given a sedative – something “like Xanax” – and lied to about the type of vaccine she was receiving in order to get the shot in her arm. By the next morning the patient had tragically passed away. The other whistleblower, Jonathan Schlect, corroborated Renner’s account. The whistleblowers also sounded the alarm about serious insurance fraud that has been mandated by their superiors. Renner explains that they are only able to provide about half of the necessary care for the residents at the Aegis facility and that the company is forging the signatures of staff members to give the illusion that the required treatments are being completed.
If you need proof there is “Them” and “Us”: NBA players will not be mandated to get vaccinated against COVID-19, league sources tell ESPN. Last week, president Joe Biden announced a sweeping set of vaccine mandates. NBA referees and most NBA staff are mandated to be vaccinated.
There’s gotta be a story here: A naked woman was rescued from a Florida storm drain after a bystander found her trapped inside — with her legs bound together, according to reports. Her legs were fastened together with straps, according to the report. She was uncooperative and would not disclose any further information to authorities. Like I said, there has got to be a story here.
Talk about wasted money: Americans spent more on taxes in 2020 than they did on food, clothing, healthcare and entertainment combined, according to newly released data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Is there anyone surprised? Anyone? I didn’t think so.
