My personal deepest sympathy to Midshipman Candidate Leonard Cummings III, class of 2025. His mother Michelle Jordan Cummings, 57, of Houston, Texas, was struck by random bullets just after midnight Tuesday as she sat on the balcony at the Graduate Hotel in Annapolis. Cummings and her husband were visiting the city to help their son settle into the school. Police said they believe the gunfire occurred a block away. Gangbangers don’t care what’s behind their target. Again, my deepest sympathy to the Midshipman and his entire family.
Not a front-page story: As 26-year-old Daytona Beach police officer Jason Raynor fights for his life after being shot in the head, the suspected shooter Othal Wallace was apprehended at a black nationalist militia camp. Wallace was found in a remote wooded area with multiple weapons, ammunition and body armor. Wallace was known from his social media posts to be associated with black nationalist militant group the Not F—ing Around Coalition (NFAC). The NFAC’s leader has advocated for the killing of police officers and their families on YouTube. A search revealed a cache of weaponry thought to belong to Wallace in an apartment near the shooting, including at least three ballistic vests, a rifle, a semi-automatic handgun, multiple high-capacity magazines, and a large quantity of rifle rounds. Why is this NOT a front-page story? It doesn’t fit the narrative. Before it’s over it will be the cop (white) that caused the shooting.
Not a big surprise: A major witness in the United States’ Department of Justice case against Julian Assange has admitted to fabricating key accusations in the indictment against the Wikileaks founder. The witness, who has a documented history with sociopathy and has received several convictions for sexual abuse of minors and wide-ranging financial fraud, made the admission in a newly published interview where he also confessed to having continued his crime spree whilst working with the Department of Justice and FBI and receiving a promise of immunity from prosecution. And when he gets on the witness stand, he’ll tell “nothing but the truth”, honest. Trust the fbi or .gov. Nope.
I’d laugh: Congresscritter Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) sees a future when a unionized “civilian climate corps” will put people to work ” with “ no age limit to participation” on “the externalities of climate change, in reforesting land, in carbon mitigation.” A “civilian climate corps” is exactly what’s needed in a time of rising inflation, and declining productivity. Despite the easy-to-mock dumbskullery behind Ocasio-Cortez’s initiative, as always, there is a method to her seeming madness. She tacitly admitted in that same hearing that her civilian climate corps is less about saving the environment than it is about indoctrinating young people and forcing unionization. So, she’s going to save the planet with unionized, unpaid child labor, as long as they have “right-think”. If it wasn’t so pathetic, I’d laugh.
Of course he did: John McAfee, an eccentric software creator, was found dead in his prison cell in Spain last Thursday in an apparent suicide after Spanish courts reportedly agreed to extradite him to the United States. According to the Associated Press, John McAfee had a suicide note in his pocket when he was found hanging in a Spanish prison cell. This is the guy that had “$wackd” tattooed on his arm. I wonder if he knew Hila….you know, her.I thought it was: “Today is a historic day for liberties,”Mexico’s Supreme Court on Monday decriminalized recreational marijuana use for adults, drawing a cautious welcome from activists who said users face a “legal vacuum” until lawmakers pass a stalled legalization bill. So, pot was NOT legal in Mexico? Wow, I always thought it was, considering how much comes over the border.
Gotta love it: Two armed robbers held up a television news crew that was interviewing Oakland’s “director of violence prevention” outside City Hall on Monday afternoon, just hours after the police chief warned of worsening crime amid cuts to the police budget. After a scuffle, a security officer pulled out a gun and ordered the suspects to leave. You cut the budget so there’s fewer cops on the street and then you get robbed. Ain’t karma a witch. And your security makes them go away, to rob someone else.
