Motes For Second Monday

Double talkin’ Nan: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said today at her press briefing that she has no plans to bring the bill expanding seats on the Supreme Court to the floor of the House. “She” has no plans, that doesn’t mean someone else won’t. It also doesn’t mean Nan won’t vote for it. It just means Pelosi wants to let someone else do the dirty work. When Pelosi says she won’t, she will.

How is this not child abuse: (www.thegatewaypundit.com) A viral video of prepubescent children being paraded across a stage at a drag queen show in South Beach, Miami FL, late at night was making the rounds Monday. Children haven’t been able to go to school because of Covid, but they can strut across a stage with drag queens at “11:40 at night.”. The performing “drag queen” took the child’s hand and led her and another masked child across the stage, showing them how to pose and dance for cash. No identification of the children, the parents, or the “performer”.  This is “‘exploitation” at the least and “prostitution” at worst. Any bet there will be no charges or consequences?  This is now normal

We don’t need no stinkin’ proof: When discussing the ongoing Justice Department investigation into whether Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., broke federal sex trafficking laws, MSNBC’s Joy Reid and Glenn Kirschner baselessly speculated over whether Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis had involvement. Don’t forget in early April, CBS’ “60 Minutes” did a report on DeSantis, claiming he was involved in a pay-to-play Publix grocery store conspiracy.  That story has been repeatedly debunked on a bipartisan level. Some have called it outright lies.

You don’t get to choose: Lots of hoohaha about police shootings. “He was only 14”, “He dropped the gun”, or  ”He was just a kid”. When “it” hits the fan, you have tenths of a second to make a decision, put it in action, and then years to live with the consequences. You don’t know what a wonderful husband and father, what a caring son, and how good a neighbor the person was. I once had a confrontation with a guy beating a woman. He was 4” taller and 40 or 50 pounds heavier than me. He was doing severe damage to her so when it got close and personal, I put him into the ER. He was 15 and I ended answering questions for hours over a decision that I had to make in a split of a second. When it happens, it happens quick.

Old lies are new again: I commented on the story about the “Russian Bounty” back when it came out before the “election”. I scoffed then, and now lot’s of people are back walking their comments. We heard this crap in Viet Nam, and it wasn’t true then either.

Not my music anymore: Tried to watch the American Country Music Awards Sunday night. After having Keith Urban telling me what a great job “we’re” doing, only recognizing 3 of the first 7 performers, watching some dude with pants tucked into white ankle boots,, and a back-up band, in an empty auditorium all wearing “covid masks”, I turned it off. Somewhere on the road country music made a left while I went straight. I guess I’ll listen to my disc’s.
