The Tulsi Gabbard school of representation: Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said recently that she will be working hard to make sure Georgia Democratic candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock beat incumbent Senators David Perdue (R-GA) and Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) in upcoming Senate runoff elections. Says AOC, we must make sure that we don’t have a Republican Senate majority, that we win these races in Georgia, that we secure a Democratic Senate majority.” So, a New York representative is working in Georgia, for several months, to make sure the people of Georgia do as she wants. How does that “represent” the people in NY?
Irony: Isn’t it funny that the 2 biggest, soul-sucking downers on television are named Joy and Whoopi ?
Nothing unusual, they all work that way: A cancer charity started by Joe Biden gave out no money to research, and spent most of its contributions on staff salaries, federal filings show. The Biden Cancer Initiative was founded in to “develop and drive implementation of solutions to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research and care and to reduce disparities in cancer outcomes,” according to its IRS mission statement. The money raised, “$4,809,619 in contributions in fiscal years 2017 and 2018. It gave out no grants in its first two years and spent millions on the salaries of former Washington DC aides it hired. Most of these “non-profit” are considered successful if they spend 18% on their stated purpose, most spend much less. Working for a non-profit organization is a great way to make a living.
Got to ask why: I have no problem with hunting or hunters. I have not been a hunter for many many years but have no anger with those that still hunt. Even those that hunt on preserves where the animals are raised just to be hunted. I do have a problem with those that kill for just the “joy” of the killing. I really have an anger with those that kill animals that should, obviously, not be killed. Like the scumbag that killed the “white moose” in Timmins, Ontario. If you kill and take the “rare” animal, fine. But to shoot, and just leave it on the road is just friggin’ wrong. And who doesn’t know that white animals are special “spirits”? Special place in hell for you pal.
Unlikely: Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell said Oahu is unlikely to move to Tier 3 by Thanksgiving, which means gatherings for the holiday can’t have more than five people. “We all hope we can get to Tier 3 by Thanksgiving,” Caldwell said, speaking at a news conference at the Waikiki Shell on Monday. “It’s going to be really difficult if not impossible.” We are now in day 240 of the 2-week to flatten the curve” and into the 14th “emergency declaration”.
