There’s Motes For Thursday

White privilege: Last week, rapper 50 Cent came out in favor of President Trump after reading Biden’s tax plan. Saying he didn’t want to be “20 Cent”, he voiced is support. Well, his white “ex-girlfriend”, Chelsea Handler offered to pay his taxes and said “I might be willing to go for another spin if you know what I mean”. She is a staunch Biden-Harris supporter. Handler then revealed she “had to remind him that he was a Black person.” There is a nasty name for someone willing “to go for another spin”, for a price. But I’m way too classy to call someone a whore. Really.

We keep getting these vague promises of “when elected”. I gotta ask, “you’ve had how many years to do this, and NOW you’re going to get it done?”

Heinlein was right:  Headline, ”Emily Ratajkowski confirms she’s pregnant, says she won’t know gender of child until 18th birthday.” We are living in the crazy days.

Another lost: When I was in Los Angeles, a couple of LAPD friends took me to Las Vegas. It was there I saw Frank, Dean, and Sammy of the same stage, after hours, at the Sands. Alas, the original Sands was closed in 1996, but the name lived on, until Covid. Las Vegas Sands Corp. is considering selling its two hotel-casinos on The Strip, the company confirmed to the Reno Gazette Journal Monday. The deal could be worth $6 billion for the Venetian and Palazzo resorts. Unintended consequences.

We need to review the selection process:  A “naked, hysterical woman desperately screaming for help” from the balcony of an apartment leased by the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City has led to allegations that an embassy staffer is a serial molester who drugged and sexually assaulted at least 23 victims over the past decade. Investigators uncovered sickening photos and footage of unconscious women in Brian Jeffrey Raymond’s bed. The 44-year-old was arrested Oct. 9 in La Mesa, California, where he had been staying with his parents after abruptly quitting his job. A forensic search of Raymond’s phones, laptop, and iCloud account turned up hundreds of photos and videos of naked, unconscious women being abused in both Mexico City and the Washington, D.C., metro area. Raymond has taken and passed more than 10 polygraph exams over the course of his government career. Maybe we need to review the questions being asked at those “exams”.

31 years, wow. Happy Anniversary. I love you more today than I did that day. But not as much as tomorrow.
