It isn’t just me: From “Instapundit”, TYLER O’NEIL: What’s the Real Story Behind Continuing Lockdowns? “While the lockdowns began as a public health measure, their continued extension appears to have more to do with power than safety.” That’s what I’ve been saying for sometime now. I think it’s partly due to the millennial mind set of the “government will take care of me so I don’t have to be responsible for anything”.
Seripusly folks: Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Issuing a Warning to Constituents. “I’ve directed Superintendent Brown to order all police districts to give special attention to these parties and this is how it’s going to be. We will shut you down. We will cite you and if we need to, we will arrest you and we take you to jail. Period. There should be nothing ambiguous about that. Don’t make us treat you like a criminal. But if you act like a criminal and you violate the law, and you refuse to do what’s necessary to save lives in the city in the middle of a pandemic, we will take you to jail. Period.” What was the weekend score, 4 dead and 37+ wounded? Hey Lori, perhaps you could lighten your foot (see what I did there) on the throat of the city and let the cops do their real job. Just sayin”.
Not finishing: Sunday I started watching “Penny Dreadful”. Kind of like a “League of Extraordinary Gentlemen”. It was enjoyable right up until characters “Dorian Gray” and “Malcom Murray” start making out. I switched to a whole afternoon of John Wayne movies. Yeah, I’m like that.
Move along, nothing to see here: In the past 2 weeks three Russian “frontline medical workers” have “fallen” from windows. Two are dead and the third remains hospitalized. As you can imagine, fact’s are a little tough to gather. More on this when I can find anything out. Doesn’t seem suspicious at all.
It’s music to my ears: Got turned on to “Mongolian Throat Metal” group “The Hu Band”. No, I didn’t know what that was music either. I listened to “Wolf Totem” and WOW. They use traditional Mongol throat singing and traditional instruments to create unique, and that’s an understatement, music. I then spent the afternoon looking them up on You Tube. Not only is the music fantastic, but the lyric’s are stories themselves. Give them a try.
