Wednesday Mote With A Difference

Do have good friends? Really good friends? : Boon Peng is a 60-year old elephant in the Mae Sa Elephant camp in Thailand. After showing signs of distress it was diagnosed that Boon had a “blockage”. Boon’s mahout (manager), Kiettisak Kawekan, donned shoulder length rubber gloves, got in position, and “assisted” Boon in relieving himself. About 48 lbs. later Boon was feeling his young self again. It’s good to have friends.

Return the rule of law: We are either a nation of laws, or no laws exist. Cities, or states, that direct their law enforcement to NOT enforce legal federal laws (ie: immigration) are directing those officers to violate their oaths. We, the electorate did not elect these people to decide what laws they should and should not enforce, we elected them to enforce all the laws and to “represent” us, the people. If they disagree with the law, they should work to change it, not ignore it. It’s time to take back our laws, and our representation. Elect those that will represent you, not themselves and their “party” (ideology).

Something good from everything: Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus things have changed in China, at least for a little while. Example; Coal use at power stations is at a four-year low; Output of key steel product lines at the lowest level for 5-years; NO2 pollution over China is down 36%, and CO2 emissions are down 25%. A worldwide pandemic maybe isn’t the best way to lower these things, but it works. Kinda like have a near death illness to lose weight.

A really great American: 20 February 1966: Brigadier General James M. Stewart, United States Air Force Reserve, flew the last combat mission of his military career, a 12 hour, 50 minute “Arc Light” bombing mission over Vietnam, aboard Boeing B-52 Stratofortress of the 736th Bombardment Squadron, 454th Bombardment Wing. His bomber was a B-52F-65-BW, serial number 57-149, call sign GREEN TWO. It was the number two aircraft in a 30-airplane bomber stream. That’s something to remember.

Why just white guy’s?; MSNBC’s Katy Tur suggested that the FBI should be tracking young white men online to radicalize them, provide resources for creating explosives, and then arrest them. Tur was comparing young white men to ISIS terrorists. She is basing this off a report by the “New Jersey Office Of Homeland Security and Preparedness”. Just to clear things up, it is not a federal agency, was created by the NJ Governor, and does not reflect information from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. So, she is basing her “recommendations” to the FBI based on a report from a single state organization. But, it does comply with the narrative of “bad white men”. Just remind me, how many white guys were involved in 9/11? What if I were to suggest the FBI do this to african-American groups? Or Hispanic groups? Oh yeah, I’m the racist.
