Moteing Midweek

Sadly: Sorry to read another victim of the October 6, 2017 Las Vegas shooting has died. Kimberly Gervais, 57, has passed away from the effects of the wound suffered during that horrific event. But her death, tragic as it is, does not make the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history “even deadlier.” Once something is deadly, another death does not make even deadlier. Don’t these people study basic language skills? It’s like saying it got worser. I am not trying to belittle her death, we all should be saddened by her passing, but the need to sensationalize the headline, to me, actually does make less of her passing.

Another shooting: Oklahoma Walmart shooting will be headlines for a day or two. What you will not see in those headlines is a “good guy with a gun” kept the body count down to 2. I don’t count the suspect as he took his own life, the coward. It appears to me the shooter had only those two persons in mind, but we will never know. He was stopped by a good guy pointing a gun. It happens more than the MSM ever will report.

He did it: I have watched the recording of Eric Swalwell’s interview on “Soft-ball” with Chris Matthews. I heard the loud flatulent sound that was emitted. Swalwell did it. Epstein did not.

Never enough : For sometime now Chick-fil-A has taken a lot of heat due to it’s owners Christian beliefs, mostly from the gay community. Recently bowing to pressure, the Corporation decided to stop donations to “anti-LGBTQ” charities. That is Christian groups like the Salvation Army and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Now GLAAD (Gay& Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) now wants the company to go further. Like I said, it’s never enough. The franchise is the third most profitable in the nation, despite only being open six days a week. There will be more demands from the “community” to show the company is not prejudiced against them, by making them preferential. And it will never be enough. Never.

The inmates are running things: Grand Valley State University, (MI) has allowed the student body to decide they will no longer honor the Pledge of Allegiance. One “student Senator” who is fighting the ban puts it: “our country doesn’t have the brightest past with human rights . . . . but with liberty and justice for all we will rise above it and go forward and not backward”. The students made the decision to ban the pledge.

Not really: Okay, President Trump made an unscheduled visit to Walter Reed Hospital. Let the moonbeams go wild. There is a statement from the WH saying everything is “fine”. There is no reason to believe anything else. Except for Michael “The Great White Whale” Moore who “loudly” tweets “ Not a single person on this planet believes that.” Michael, If I told you once, I’ve told you a million times, don’t exaggerate.
