Rollin’ Motes

In Iowa, a long term Representative had decided he can no longer serve his constituents as a Republican and is switching to the Democrat party. Having seen that happen here, and the results, I (here comes the surprise) have an opinion. If you are elected as a member of one party and you decide to switch, you should step down and let the party pick your replacement. I don’t care which side the side is. The people, (you remember them, they elected you and pay your “salary”), elected you to represent them.  You either serve the way you were elected in or step out. To do otherwise says you are just a political hack and only care about your own power and not about the people. (Hey Beth Fukumoto, you reading this?)

The 5 year old boy thrown from the upper floor at the mall of America is doing well. There appears to be no brain damage.  There is a lot more to this story then we’re hearing.

Film critic comments on “The Avengers; End Game”.

“[T]he entire endeavour loses any sense of emotional stakes or general meaning beyond the deliverance of crass fan-service and incomprehensible visuals.”

I have to admit, in all its surreal grandiosity, in all its delirious absurdity, there is a huge sugar rush of excitement to this mighty finale, finally interchanging with euphoric emotion and allowing us to say poignant farewells.”

“Every serious narrative beat in the film is ultimately undercut by pro-forma storytelling, or by faux-improvised humor.”

Do they actually pay people to say shit like this??? It’s a freakin’ movie about superheroes. Get over yourself.

Speaking about getting over yourself. Brie Larson, “Captain Marvel” says she has used the “U.S.C. Annenberg Inclusive Initiative” to decide there are too many white movie critics. I agree. And it should also show there are too many actors that think they should tell everyone else what to do.

It appears that the Siri Lanka bombers were young adults, well educated, and from “well off” families. Sort of like the “Baader Mienhof” Group, the “Red Brigade” and, oh yeah, “the Weather Underground”.

Warning, the next “story” is a long one. But I think well worth the read. Let me know what you think. As usual comments are welcome, solicitations ignored and death threats handled in person.
